There are lots of different types of cell phones these days, from flat touch screens to flip to qwerty slide keyboards. With so many new additions there is so much more a cell phone can do these days than just call. So when it comes to buying a phone you can shop on more than just that now a days.
The most important thing to me is text messaging, for other people it may be calling. Because of this i like qwerty keyboard phone as opposed to a regular phone numbered phone, however most phones have both. its all about prefrence!
Check online reviews always before buying a phone! So many phones can be unreliable and complete pieces of junk while others may be better quality. Dont believe every single one but check what it is overall, and how most people feel about it. what type of errors its usually has so you can be prepared for that. Knowing as much about the phone also helps you use it!
If you dont know how to use something on your phone, read the manual they give you or check online about it and often you will learn things you did not know before. Explore around the phone itself! try to use all different parts of it and it will become much easier to manage all those different things. That way you can be sure to get your moneys worth, if thats what your after.
Many cellphone plans allow you to purchase a new phone after a year at the "2 year contract purchasse" price, so if you can save a little money and keep yourself updated with a new phone every year the problems you run into can be subverted by buying a new phone. My phone actually broke about a week before mine was at the 1 year mark and somehow, i bet they rigged it like that on purpose.
